Doctor Janel's Approach to Childhood Vaccinations:
Doctor Janel sees children of all ages and focuses on individualized medicine for each child. She treats every child as a unique person and will review his/her personal medical history as well as their family history when developing an individualized vaccine schedule. Time is spent with parents educating and counseling in regards to each vaccine preventable disease and each vaccine. She sees her role as a physician to educate and help parents to make an informed decision for their children. She carries all the vaccines that are required for school entry and daycare attendance and will help you navigate the paperwork required for your child to attend. Doctor Janel will ensure your child is healthy at the time of their vaccine(s) and if they aren't, she is happy to reschedule this part of their appointment until they are well. She encourages natural immune modulating support in the form of vitamin D and/or probiotics to reduce any potential incidence of vaccine side effects. Washington state vaccine laws can be confusing and there are certain regulations that do need to be followed. Doctor Janel provides several resources for vaccine education and will help you develop a safe and effective individualized vaccination schedule for your child.
